Attending a church for the first time is not
an easy thing. They say churches are friendly places
– well they are friendly when all your friends go
there. When you are attending a new church for the
first time it can be quite intimidating.
What guests usually notice first at Standing
Stones is how welcomed they are. We desire to be a
church where “Strangers become friends and friends
become family”. That is not a cute little tag line,
it something we try to live out each and every
Sunday.
It will be easy to think “these people seem to
have it all together” – I don’t know about that but
I would like to believe that what we have is a love
for Jesus and a love for people.
